The construction work for the KhémissetTechnopark was officially launched this Thursday during a ceremony presided over by the Governor of the Province, Mr. Abdellatif Ennahli, and the President of the Regional Council of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, Mr. Rachid El Abdi.
This project, part of the 2022-2027 RegionalDevelopment Program, marks an important step in the strategy to promote innovation and support entrepreneurship at the territorial level. The Technopark aims to become a catalyst for local entrepreneurial initiatives, supporting project leaders and fostering the creation of innovative startups.
Located on a 2,027 m² site, the future facility will offer 34 offices for startups, three coworking areas, a meeting room, and two local service points. Upon completion, expected in approximately ten months, it will be able to accommodate up to 58 companies in an environment designed to encourage professional networking, synergies, and collaborative innovation.
This project is part of a broader initiative to territorialize innovation, driven by a regional framework agreement aimed at creating a network of technologyincubators across different provinces. Khémisset will benefit from this dynamic through a specific agreement for the establishment of the structure.
According to Ms. Lamia Benabdillah, Director of the Regional Agency for Project Implementation (AREP) of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, the Khémisset Technopark represents a strategic lever to support young entrepreneurs in their activities, strengthening local skills and promoting the region’s key sectors.
With this new facility, the province of Khémisset reinforcesits position as an emerging hub for innovation and entrepreneurship within the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region.
