As part of efforts to strengthenhealthcare infrastructure in rural areas and improveaccess to local medical services, the Regional Agency for Project Implementation (AREP-RRSK) of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region has launched an ambitious program to rehabilitatehealth centers in several communes of the region.

Project Objectives

The project aims to improve the quality of basic health services in rural areas often facing equipmentshortages, outdatedfacilities, and environments not conducive to patient care.

Work Carried Out

The project interventions cover several key aspects of facility modernization:

  • Painting and wallrestoration to renew both interior and exterior surfaces, giving the centers a more welcoming appearance.
  • Construction of new sanitaryfacilities to enhance hygiene and accessibility, particularly for people with reduced mobility.
  • Exteriorlandscaping and development, including access paths, green spaces, lighting, and access ramps.
  • Wood and aluminumcarpentrywork and upgrading of electrical installations.
  • Waterproofingworks to prevent leaks and preserve the structural integrity of the buildings over the long term.
