As part of the efforts by the Rabat-Sal\u00e9-K\u00e9nitra <\/strong>Regional<\/strong> Council<\/strong> to ensure the implementation of development projects in compliance with the highest<\/strong>legal<\/strong>, <\/strong>environmental<\/strong>, and social standards<\/strong>, the Regional<\/strong> Agency for Project <\/strong>Implementation<\/strong> (AREP)<\/strong> has adopted a renewed<\/strong> and <\/strong>comprehensive<\/strong>approach<\/strong> to managing and executing regional projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, the agency has developed a new set of <\/strong>specifications<\/strong>, taking into account the evolution of national legislation and established best practices. This document has been enriched with a series of environmental<\/strong> standards<\/strong> aimed at reducing the negative impact of projects on the natural environment, as well as social <\/strong>requirements<\/strong> to guarantee the rights and dignity of workers, and strict measures to ensure safety<\/strong> conditions on construction sites<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To promote a participatory<\/strong>approach<\/strong> and ensure the involvement of all stakeholders in the implementation process, AREP-RRSK organized an awareness<\/strong> session for <\/strong>its<\/strong>partners<\/strong>, including construction companies, technical consulting offices, and quality control laboratories. During this session, detailed explanations were provided regarding the new <\/strong>elements<\/strong>introduced<\/strong> in the <\/strong>specifications<\/strong>, highlighting the objectives of adopting these documents and the practices required to ensure compliance during project execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session was well<\/strong>received<\/strong> by the participants<\/strong>, who expressed their full commitment to this new approach and affirmed their willingness to actively contribute to the success of the region\u2019s projects by adopting environmental<\/strong> and social <\/strong>considerations<\/strong> as an integral part of their working methodology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
